Panjab University Launches PRIDE: Journal of the Centre for Trans Studies
The University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh today released the inaugural issue of PRIDE: Journal of the Centre for Trans Studies, a peer-reviewed and refereed journal published in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Chandigarh Administration.

Chandigarh, April 9, 2026: The University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh today released the inaugural issue of PRIDE: Journal of the Centre for Trans Studies, a peer-reviewed and refereed journal published in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Chandigarh Administration.
The journal was formally released by Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, in the presence of Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations, PU, and Prof. Shruti Bedi, Director, UILS.
Edited by Prof. Gulshan Kumar, Prof. Navneet Kaur, and Dr Supreet Gill as Co-Editor, PRIDE is an initiative of the Centre for Trans Studies – Rainbow, UILS, and reflects a significant step towards advancing scholarship on gender diversity, equity, and inclusion.
