Panjab University invites applications for Open Counselling to BHMCT and BTTM programmes
The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to vacant seats in its undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2026-27 through Open Counselling.

Chandigarh, June 29, 2026: The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to vacant seats in its undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2026-27 through Open Counselling.
According to a press release issued by the Panjab University on Monday, admissions will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit after the completion of the first and second rounds of counselling. A total of 19 vacant seats are available in the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) programme, while 3 vacant seats are available in the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) programme.
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks and have studied English as a compulsory subject are eligible to apply.
The application form can be downloaded from the UIHTM website. The duly filled application form, along with the required documents, must be submitted to the UIHTM office on or before the prescribed deadline.
The last date for submission of completed application forms is July 8, 2026 (Wednesday), up to 4:00 pm. The merit list will be displayed on the UIHTM Notice Board and website on July 10, 2026 (Friday), by 4:00 pm. Physical Open Counselling will be held on July 14, 2026 (Tuesday).
Candidates have been advised to complete all admission formalities within the stipulated schedule, as no applications will be accepted after the notified date and time.
