Chandigarh, April 23, 2026: The University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development (UIFT & VD), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, organised a “Visual Merchandising Display & Competition.”
The event centred on the theme “Texture & Color-Coordinated,” with student teams presenting concept-based displays demonstrating principles of fashion retail merchandising and consumer engagement. Students of B.Sc. (Fashion Technology) Semester VI and IV participated and showcased a range of creative installations reflecting applied learning and teamwork.
School students from Ankur School, PU; Lakshmi Tara Rathur Public School; Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 23-A; Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-B; and The Tribune School also participated in the event.
The competition was coordinated by Dr. Ramandeep Bawa and Ms. Deepa under the leadership of Prof. Prabhdip Brar, Chairperson, UIFT & VD.
The displays were evaluated by Dr. Anu H. Gupta, Associate Professor PU, who reviewed the entries based on creativity, conceptual clarity, and execution.
