Panjab University Hosts Day 2 of Student Induction of B.A B.Ed ITEP at IETVE
Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh organised the second day of the student induction programme for the first semester students of the B.A. B.Ed. Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) of the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education (IETVE) with the objective of familiarising students with the university’s academic, social and support systems.
Chandigarh, August 12, 2026: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh organised the second day of the student induction programme for the first semester students of the B.A. B.Ed. Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) of the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education (IETVE) with the objective of familiarising students with the university’s academic, social and support systems.
The first session was graced by NSS Coordinator PU, Prof. Anupam Bahri, she interacted with students and highlighted the significance of community engagement, social responsibility, leadership, volunteerism and holistic personality development. She encouraged the students to actively participate in NSS and other community-oriented activities and contribute meaningfully to society.
The second session was conducted by Senior Assistant Librarian, A.C. Joshi Library PU, Dr. Suman Summi. She acquainted the newly admitted students with the library resources, services, digital facilities and academic support available through A.C. Joshi Library. The session emphasised the importance of developing effective reading, information-search and research skills as an integral part of students’ academic journey.
The sessions provided the students with valuable insights into opportunities beyond the classroom and encouraged them to make effective use of the academic and co-curricular resources available at PU.
The programme was attended by the faculty members and newly admitted students of the B.A. B.Ed. ITEP programmes. The sessions concluded with an interaction between the resource persons and students. The chairperson Dr. Amritpal Kaur delivered the vote of thanks.
