Panjab University gets MAKA Trophy

Chandigarh, August 29, 2019: Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh along with Dr.Parminder Singh, Director, Directorate of Sports, PU received award of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad(MAKA) Trophy for the session 2018-19 from Hon’ble President of India Sh. Ram Nath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, today during National Sports and Adventure Awards 2019 ceremony.
PU VC congratulated on receiving the MAKA Trophy after a gap of 14 years and said that this has been achieved on the basis of excellent sports performances of the outstanding sports persons of PU and its affiliated colleges.
The MAKA Trophy is conferred to a top performing university in sports along with cash award of Rs 15 lakhs.
