Panjab University Economics Society Organises Indoor Games Competition
Panjab University (PU) organised Indoor Games Competition by the Economics Society of the Department of Economics, organised at the Students’ Centre.
Chandigarh, April 10, 2026: Panjab University (PU) organised Indoor Games Competition by the Economics Society of the Department of Economics, organised at the Students’ Centre.
The competition featured Carrom Board, Chess, and Table Tennis Doubles, with active participation from undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students.
In Table Tennis Doubles, Keshav Thakur and Rajbir Singh secured the first position, followed by Isha Bagga and Armanpreet Singh Sidhu in second place, while Lucky Chaudhary and Komal Thakur finished third. In Carrom, Rahmat Mehta and Kanika Koundal won the first position, with Manan Arora and Shashwat securing second place, and Harsirat Kaur and Sonakshi Verma finishing third. In Chess, Jayant Sharma secured the first position, followed by Rishabh Singh Dadhwal in second place, while Manan Arora secured third position.
The winners were felicitated by Chairperson, Prof. Smita Sharma, who awarded medals in recognition of their performance. The event recorded strong student participation.
