Panjab University Coffee Table book released

Chandigarh, May 12, 2022: Prof. Raj Kumar (Vice Chancellor, Panjab University) released the book titled, ‘A Peek into the Heaven’ by Gaurav Gaur and Prabhdip Brar. The book is unique in its effort of capturing the essence of Panjab University campus during the 2020 nationwide lockdown. Prof. Renu Vig (Dean University Instructions, Panjab University) and Prof. Y P Verma (Registrar, Panjab University) also graced the occasion.
 
Prof. Raj Kumar congratulated the authors and appreciated the exemplary efforts of Dr Gaurav Gaur in capturing the unprecedented visuals clicked through a simple mobile phone camera. He further advised that the book be made as a Panjab University Souvenir that can be presented to delegations at various Panjab University events.
 
Dr Gaurav Gaur (Chairperson, Centre for Social Work, Panjab University) shared his experience of bringing together the coffee table book. He said that, ‘The book is an effort in capturing the different emotions and expressions of nature in PU campus during the nationwide lockdown’. He further said that when people could not step out of their homes, he took this as a challenge and opportunity to document the different flavours of life at PU campus especially the tranquility and solitude of the blossoming undisturbed natureß.
 
Dr Prabdip Brar, University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Studies, a renowned artist of the city, who contributed by aptly captioning the pictures in the book said that this coffee table book would prove to be breakthrough and help in promoting the beauty of the campus.
 
Ginni Singh, JRF, UIFTVD, assisted in designing the book.
