Chandigarh, January 14, 2026: Panjab University, Centre for Social Work, Chandigarh, celebrated Makar Sankranti with underprivileged school dropout children living near Singa Devi Temple.
Students and volunteers engaged the children through games, poem recitations and interactive activities, followed by distribution of refreshments. The initiative highlighted social responsibility and provided students with practical exposure to working with vulnerable communities.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Chairperson Prof. Monica Munjial Singh and Faculty Coordinator Dr. Gaurav Gaur, in collaboration with BTGT Foundation, Chandigarh.
