Panjab University Begins Student Induction Programme for B.A.B.Ed. ITEP Programmes at IETVE

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh began the Student Induction Programme for the newly admitted students of the B.A. B.Ed. Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) was inaugurated today at the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education (IETVE).

Chandigarh, August 10, 2026: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh began the Student Induction Programme for the newly admitted students of the B.A. B.Ed. Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) was inaugurated today at the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education (IETVE).
The first day of the induction programme was graced by Dean Student Welfare (DSW) PU, Prof. Yogesh Rawal who interacted with the newly admitted students and extended his warm wishes for their academic journey.
Addressing the students, Prof. Yogesh Rawal highlighted the importance of holistic education, active participation in university life, discipline, academic excellence and the development of professional and social competencies. He encouraged the students to make the best use of the academic, co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities available at PU.
The induction programme aims to familiarise the newly admitted students with the ITEP curriculum, academic structure, institutional facilities, student support services, clubs, societies and various opportunities for their overall development.
The programme also focuses on nurturing a positive learning environment and helping students smoothly transition into university life.
The Chairperson, IETVE Dr. Amritpal Kaur welcomed Prof. Yogesh Rawal and the newly admitted students expressed her commitment towards providing quality teacher education in accordance with the vision of NEP 2020 and the objectives of the ITEP framework.
The faculty members of IETVE actively participated in the programme and interacted with the students. The students showed their enthusiasm and excitement about beginning their journey in the integrated teacher education programme.
The Student Induction Programme will continue with a series of academic, interactive and co-curricular activities designed to provide the new students with a comprehensive introduction to university life and the teaching profession.
