Panjab University and CUHP Organize Webinar on Enhancing Research Visibility and ORCID Usage

Chandigarh, 28 November 2025: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, in collaboration with the Department of Library and Information Science, Central University of Himachal Pradesh today organised a webinar on the topic “Enhancing Research Visibility and Use of ORCID”. The session was hosted by research scholar, Mayurakshi. Prof. Rupak Chakravarty delivered the welcome address, followed by Prof. Shivarama Rao from CUHP delivering the keynote address.
The resource person of the webinar was Dr. Mohit Garg, Assistant Librarian at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Dr. Garg started the session by discussing research visibility in present scenario and various researcher IDs available. He talked about ORCID and its features, explained the various advantages of having an ORCIDID. He also illustrated the practical applications of ORCID. He emphasised on maintaining a stronger research identity and enhancingresearch visibility.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A discussion.Dr. Shiv Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. All the participants took part in the webinar with enthusiasm.
