Jalandhar, February 11, 2013: BJP, Jalandhar (Urban) observed `Sadbhawana Divas’ on the death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya who had been the leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh from 1953 to 1968.
The party’s state president Kamal Sharma presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, he recalled the life and works of Pandit Upadhyaya and termed him a true patriot who devoted his whole life for the motherland. He said the services rendered by Pandit Upadhyaya could never be forgotten.
Adding, Sharma predicted that the NDA would come back at the Centre. He said the party organisation would be further strengthen upto grass root level. He asked the party men to start propagating the party programmes, policies, ideology and vision for 2013 among the masses at the grass root level.
Among others, Bhagat Chuni Lal, Minister for Local Bodies, Punjab, Manoranjan Kalia , MLA, CPS Krishan Dev Bhandari and Mayor Sunil Jyoti were present.
