Pakistani intruder killed by BSF

Ferozepur, February 3, 2022: An unidentified Pakistani intruder has been shot dead by the sleuths belonging to 103 battalion BSF today in Khalra area (near BOP Karnail Sing Wala) in Tarn Taran district along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector. Sources in the BSF said that on the intervening night of February 2-3, the vigilant BSF troops observed some suspicious movement following which they raised an alert. Subsequently, the troops spotted a Pakistani intruder who had crossed the border and entered into the Indian territory.
The BSF officials said that sensing the threat, the BSF troops challenged the intruder but he did not stop his misadventure and continued moving ahead following which the BSF troops fired upon the intruder who died on the spot.
Following the incident, a search operation was carried out by BSF troops. More details are awaited.
