Padma Shri Professor Jagat Ram will continue his services in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, November 23, 2021: Professor Jagat Ram, former Director of PGI and Padma Shri Ophthalmologist, who has rendered excellent services during Covid, will continue his services daily at Grewal Eye Institute, Sector 9, Chandigarh.
Dr. Jagat Ram is the former Director of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PGI), Chandigarh. Jagat Ram has performed more than one lakh eye operations in his career spanning about 42 years. Out of this, more than 10 thousand were children. He developed new, cheap and high quality techniques to replace the old techniques of cataract operation. From 2017 to 2021, he has been the director of PGI. He has also written 45 books.
