Jalandhar, December 17, 2017: ‘Chithhi na koi sandesh, Jaane woh kaun sa desh, Jaha tum chale gaye’… With these famous lines, a musical noon was started in order to pay tributes to the King of Ghazals Sh. Jagjit Singh, at CT World School. On this occasion, Padma Shri Hans Raj Hans mesmerized the audience with his peaceful musical performance.

In order to set the ambience, the program started with the singing performances by young students of CT Public School. It was followed by melodious performance by upcoming singer Saaz Malhotra who was top 9 finalists of a singing reality show on a national channel. She also released her cover song titled ‘Naina’, directed by Siddakpreet Singh.

The time then arrived when Padma Shri Hans Raj Hans set the stage and ambience where the memories of Late Jagjit Singh were relived by the audience. He sang the beautiful ghazals namely ‘Honton se chhoo lo tum, Mera geet amar kar do’, ‘Garaj Baras Pyaasi Dharthi Par Phir Paani De Maula, Chidiyon Ko Daane Bacchon Ko Gud-dhaani De Maula’ etc.

Principal of CT World School, Mrs. Madhu Sharma said, “The main objective for this event was to recall the time when people used to commemorate the Ghazals sung by Late Jagjit Singh as he was all time favorite. The guests enjoyed the peaceful performances by Hans Raj Hans and Saaz Malhotra.”

S. Charanjit S Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions thanked the singer Hans Raj Hans, Saaz Malhotra, students, teachers as well as guests who graced this occasion and said that such events should be organized in order to pay tributes to renowned and evergreen talent of nation.

On this occasion, Managing Director Mr. Manbir Singh, Vice- Chairman Mr. Harpreet Singh, CT University Pro VC Mr. Harsh Sadawarti and Campus Director Dr. GS Kalra were also present along with other members of CT family.
