Chandigarh, September 23, 2025: Panjab University, Chandigarh, will celebrate its Foundation Day with a PU Colloquium lecture by Padma Bhushan awardee Senapathy “Kris” Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Infosys and Chairman of Axilor Ventures.

Gopalakrishnan will speak on the Impact of pace of innovation on education, research and business on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11.00 am in the University Auditorium, Sector 14. The lecture will be presided over by PU Vice Chancellor Professor Renu Vig. Entry to this prestigious lecture is open to all, including the students and alumni of the PU campus and its affiliated colleges.

Gopalakrishnan will speak on issues of how rapid technological change is reshaping learning processes, research ecosystems, and global business practices.

A globally respected technology visionary, Gopalakrishnan co-founded Infosys and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman from 2011 to 2014. He has been recognised as one of the pioneers of India’s IT revolution and was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, one of the country’s highest civilian awards, for his contributions to science and technology. As Chairman of Axilor Ventures, he supports early-stage start-ups and actively promotes research in brain sciences and digital innovation while continuing to serve on key industry and academic bodies.
