Over ₹9.78 Crore to Be Spent on New School Buildings and Maintenance Works Across the District: DC Sachin Gupta
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the government has approved expenditure of over ₹9.78 crore for the construction of new school buildings, additional classrooms, and maintenance works in various government schools across the district, with the objective of strengthening educational infrastructure and improving learning conditions for students.
Rohtak, February 20, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the government has approved expenditure of over ₹9.78 crore for the construction of new school buildings, additional classrooms, and maintenance works in various government schools across the district, with the objective of strengthening educational infrastructure and improving learning conditions for students.
He said that an amount of ₹9.21 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of new school buildings in seven villages and for construction of 17 additional classrooms in three villages. In addition, ₹56.71 lakh has been sanctioned for repair, maintenance, boundary walls, and additional classrooms in primary schools located in six villages.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the district administration had submitted proposals for construction of new government school buildings and additional classrooms, which have now been approved by the Government of Haryana.
Major Works Approved (New Buildings & Classrooms – ₹9.21 Crore)
• Govt Primary School, Lahli (Kalanaur Block):
Construction of 8 classrooms, girls’ toilet, 4 boys’ toilets, and water tank at a cost of ₹87.37 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Sugar Mill Colony:
Construction of 6 classrooms, toilets, and boundary wall at a cost of ₹73.01 lakh.
• Govt Girls Primary School, Chandi (Lakhan Majra Block):
New school building at a cost of ₹74.04 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Kharenti:
New school building at a cost of ₹1.30 crore.
• Govt Primary School, Nandal:
New school building at a cost of ₹49.54 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Sundarpur:
New school building at a cost of ₹74.04 lakh.
• Govt Girls Primary School, Sampla:
New school building at a cost of ₹1.33 crore.
• Govt Model School, Sampla Mandi:
Construction of 3 classrooms and a science laboratory at a cost of ₹82.16 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Nonand:
New school building at a cost of ₹1.32 crore.
Repair, Maintenance & Boundary Wall Works (₹56.71 Lakh)
• Govt Model School, Indergarh (Lakhan Majra Block):
Repair works at a cost of ₹7.46 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Indergarh:
Construction of additional classrooms costing ₹10.22 lakh.
• Govt Girls Primary School, Bhaini Mato (Meham Block):
Boundary wall construction costing ₹7.35 lakh.
• Govt Girls Primary School, Saiman:
Boundary wall construction costing ₹0.38 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Ganganagar (Meham):
Boundary wall construction costing ₹15.82 lakh.
• Govt Primary School, Nindana Khas:
Boundary wall construction costing ₹15.48 lakh.
The Deputy Commissioner said that these works will significantly improve school safety, classroom availability, sanitation facilities, and overall learning environment. He added that the district administration will ensure timely execution and quality monitoring of all sanctioned works.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment to strengthening public education, he said that investment in school infrastructure is a direct investment in the future of children and the district.
