Pancham Hospital leads in the private hospitals' list by providing free treatment to 2758 people for Rs 1.35 crore

Over 2733 people avail free treatment worth Rs 1.76 crore at Civil Hospital Ludhiana, highest in Ludhiana under AB-SSBY

Ludhiana: As many as 2733 people have availed the treatment worth around 1.76 crores, highest across Ludhiana for free in Civil Hospital under Ayushman Bharat-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna (AB-SSBY). 

Divulging further details, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said that Civil Hospital has emerged as top-performing health institutions in Ludhiana providing treatment worth Rs 1.76 crore to 2733 people.

He said among private hospitals, Pancham Hospital has been leading where 2758 people have been provided treatment around Rs 1.35 crore under AB-SSBY.

The Deputy Commissioner further revealed that Shri Guru Nanak Hospital has given treatment to 1634 beneficiaries of around Rs 1.19 crore, Kaushal Hospital and Surgical Centre has provided treatment worth Rs 1.03 crore to 1014 people, 1150 people have undergone treatment worth Rs 98 lakh at Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) Khanna, treatment around Rs 94 lakh has been ensured to 1150 beneficiaries at SDH Samrala, SDH Jagraon has given the treatment of Rs 81 lakh to 1529 people and 628 availed treatment of Rs 61 lakh from Jeewan Jot Hospital and Rs 61 lakh treatment delivered to 830 people by SDH Raikot under AB-SSBY.

Similarly, he disclosed that treatment worth Rs 46 lakh has been given to 1505 beneficiaries by Khanna Nursing Home.

Varinder Kumar Sharma said the district administration is making persistent efforts for a maximum enrollment of the people under the program by holding camps in every area of the district.

He urged the people to take benefit of the cashless health program by enrolling themselves under the flagship scheme of the government that provides a cover of up to Rs 5 lakhs to the beneficiaries.

He stated that smart ration card holders, construction workers, SECC beneficiaries, small traders, yellow/accredited journalists, and J-farm holder farmers are eligible under the scheme and they must enrol themselves and further anyone can check eligibility and list of empanelled hospitals from https://sha.punjab.gov.in.
