          Pan Punjab Placement Drive organised by Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training department on Wednesday has seen a huge turnout as around 11,268 job aspirants participated from across the districts.

          Terming the placement drive a massive success, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr Aman Arora said that the youth of the state has tremendous potential and Chief Minister S Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is committed to tap the potential of youth by generating maximum job opportunities so that the educated youth of the state will not feel the need to migrate to other states or countries for employment in future. This kind placement drives are a need of the hour to stop the brain drain, he added.

          Vardhman, Reliance Industries, Sportsking, Airtel, SBI Life, Aditya Birla Life, HDFC Bank, AXIS Bank, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Swaraj and Sonalika were among 419 total prominent employers participated in this placement drive. Notably, Total 10,317 jobs have been offered to the job seekers, with the salary range varying from Rs.8,000 to Rs.60,000 in this mega placement drive.

          Mr Aman Arora said that the Employment Department had made adequate arrangements to facilitate job-seekers and employers in all the districts and this exercise has provided a platform for the employers as well as job-seekers. The recruitment drive was conceptualised to reiterate the state government’s commitment to the people of Punjab with a focus on making accessible employment opportunities to youth.
