The Department of Library and Information Science organized Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of Bachelor of Library and Information science (B.Lib.I.Sc) and Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc) (Session 2024-2025) on Monday.

Chandigarh, September 2, 2024: The Department of Library and Information Science organized Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of Bachelor of Library and Information science (B.Lib.I.Sc) and Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc) (Session 2024-2025) on Monday.
All the faculty members and research scholars participated in the event. During the session, Prof. Rupak Chakravarty, Chairperson of the department provided students with detailed information about the department's facilities and infrastructure.
They also outlined various academic activities for the year, including house tests, snap tests, assignments, end examinations, annual fieldwork, and attendance.
Students were made aware of the university's amenities, such as the gymnasium and swimming pool, etc. They were further informed about the alumni membership and its benefits and were encouraged to sign up for it. They were also told to reach out to office staff and teachers for any inquiries.
