Opposition stages minor walkout in HP Assembly
Dharamshala, December 12, 2019: The opposition led by Mukesh Agnihotri staged a minor walkout just after the question hour on Thursday in HP Assembly Winter Session which is underway in Tapovan in Dharmshala.
Just after the intervening of the CM on unauthorised mining issue of Swan river of Una, the opposition raised slogans against mining mafia as they were unsatisfied by the reply of Industries Minister Bikram Thakur.
The mining issue was raised by a question during question hour. Agnihotri said that around 1000 tipper of authorised sand are being extracted daily from Swan. He alleged that Rs.8000 is being collected in an unauthorised manner from each tipper. He demanded a battalion of police to control it.
Bikram Thakur- Industries Minister said that the government is doing everything to control it, he himself visited the area thrice and plugged many loopholes.
CM said the government will not spare anyone engaged in illegal activities in Swan area of Una.
