Opposition parties trying to create issues out of non-issues for petty political gains: Congress MLAs
Leaders from opposition parties should witness development spearheaded by Ashu in Ludhiana, say Sanjay Talwar and Kuldeep Vaid
Ludhiana: Ludhiana (East) MLA Sanjay Talwar and Gill MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid have openly come in support of Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu and have said that the opposition parties are trying unsuccessfully to create issues out of non-issues for their petty political gains.
In a press statement issued today, MLA Sanjay Talwar said that Bharat Bhushan Ashu is associated with a party that is known for its sacrifices for restoring peace and communal harmony in Punjab. He said that Ashu is known as a leader who is spearheading development of Ludhiana, which was earlier neglected during the SAD-BJP regime.
Sanjay Talwar said that he has known Bharat Bhushan Ashu for decades and he has always been known as the development man of Ludhiana. On the other hand suspended DSP Balwinder Sekhon is a mere pawn in the hands of his political masters and is giving frivolous statements just to please some “leaders” for his own personal gains.
He further said that the stand of opposition parties in support of a tainted official such as DSP Sekhon also raises questions over their own credibility. He said that Bharat Bhushan Ashu had received several complaints against suspended DSP Balwinder Singh Sekhon as he has been suspended in the past too. He said that being a grounded leader, Ashu has always stood for the people and when DSP Sekhon was reprimanded over his corrupt acts, he started spreading lies against Ashu.
Gill MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid warned suspended DSP Balwinder Sekhon from spreading lies against Bharat Bhushan Ashu. He said that every person in Ludhiana knows about the credibility of Ashu, who does not need any certificate from either the suspended DSP or the opposition leaders, who themselves have a dubious track record.
