Operation Sindhu reaffirms PM's commitment to ensure safety of overseas Indians in crisis: Chugh

Chandigarh/New Delhi: June 19, 2025: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh hailed the successful execution of Operation Sindhu, calling it Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ensure  safety of Indian citizens across the globe.

Chugh said that amidst the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, the Indian government successfully has rescued 110 Indian nationals stranded in Iran, including 90 students from Jammu & Kashmir, and has brought them safely back home.

“This is not the first time India has shown such global responsibility. Be it Operation Ganga in Ukraine, evacuations from the Middle East, or the humanitarian relief during the Nepal earthquake — PM Modi has made India’s commitment to its people and friendly nations absolutely clear,” Chugh said.

He added that Operation Sindhu is not just a rescue mission — it is a declaration to the world that India stands by its people in every crisis, no matter where they are.

On behalf of all the families, Chugh expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs for this swift and sensitive operation, and said this was a matter of pride for every Indian.
