Open Mic- A poetry recitation competition at GNA University

Jalandhar, November 17, 2021: GNA University organized an Open Mic- A Poetry Recitation Competition. The Open Mic was an Inter departmental Poetry Competition with an objective to unleash the hidden creative talent of the writing skills of the GUites in the form of recitation. The students participated in huge number and poured their heart out via their poetry in Hindi, Punjabi and English. 
Prof. Seema Jain, Retd. HOD cum Dean Academics and Prof. Neeraj Jain, Retd. HOD, Doaba College & Owner New Brainlyte adjudged the Open Mic- A Poetry Recitation Competition for all Hindi, Punjabi and English language. Rajvir and Ritika the student’s coordinator for the event set the stage on fire in the capacity of being the Master of the Ceremony under the guidance of Ms. Neetu Vaid, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Liberal Arts.
Students in huge numbers participated in the event by venting out their feelings on themes like motherhood, love, sacrifice, soul connection, etc. Prof. Seema Jain, Retd. HOD cum Dean Academics expressed, “It is a real honour in being a part of this houseful event wherein children expressed their feelings with full enthusiasm.”
Prof. Neeraj Jain, Retd. HOD, Doaba College & Owner New Brainlyte commented, “The students of GNA University are a real gem when it comes to pouring out with their heart full.”
Dr. Disha Khanna, Dean Faculty of Liberal Arts expressed, “I acknowledge the Management for always being a relentless support in guiding events of universal appeal.”
S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Pro-Chancellor GNA University, “I appreciate the endeavours of Faculty of Liberal Arts in getting the youth attach to their roots in the form of poetry.”
Dr. VK Rattan, Vice-Chancellor GNA University said, “Such literary activities at the inter-departmental level unleashes the creative talent of students and it stands really appreciable.”
