OPA organises group visit to India Corr Expo at New Delhi

Ludhiana, November 1, 2013: Offset Printers' Association organised the group visit of member and other interested printers to IndiaCorr Expo at New Delhi on October 17 and 18.

The visit of 20 member delegation from the SPV (Offset Printers Association, Ludhiana) was supported by the ministry of MSME, Government of India under the Micro & Small Enterprise – Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), according to a release issued here on Friday by OPA.

IndiaCorr Expo is the launch edition for India by the famous Sino Corrugated, China. The show was designed for the packaging especially the corrugated packaging industry of India. The show in its first edition became a must go for the industry with who’s who of the industry being present in the three day event from October 17-19 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. With 5,179 trade visitors; 125 exhibitors; 350 representative brands; 293 conference delegates and more than 110 VIP buyers the maiden attempt IndiaCorr Expo was a grand success. The exhibition showcased equipments, solutions and technologies from India, China, Germany, Taiwan, Italy, USA, Sweden and many other countries.  IndiaCorr Expo established itself as the biggest event for corrugated packaging industry in India and was majorly attended by focused visitors including corrugators, converters, printers and end-users of secondary packaging solutions along with professionals keen in setting up new production lines or facility.

Taking in consideration the growth in the packaging sector in India, this exhibition was arranged by a Chinese company in collaboration with an Indian partner and with the support of The Indian Corrugated Case Manufacturers Association (ICCMA). The diversity of the sector was noticed in the event through exhibiting companies in Corrugated Board Making Machines, Corrugated Box Making Machines, Web Guiding Systems, Kraft Paper, Testing Equipments, Adhesives, Ancillary Equipments and Software product & solutions category. According to the survey conducted during the event, 79% attendees fulfilled their objectives of visit; 82% of visitors evaluated for future purchases whereas about 43% of attendees were final decision makers and 35% had recommending role in purchasing.
