Only Ten Days Left for PU-CET (UG) Registration for Panjab University Admissions in 13 Departments Open for 2026–27

Chandigarh, December 4, 2025: With just ten days remaining for prospective candidates to initiate their applications, Panjab University has urged students to complete the mandatory creation of their login ID and password for PU-CET (UG) admissions by 14 December 2025 (Sunday). The prospectus and registration form are available on the official PU-CET (UG) portal, where applicants can review the complete admission schedule, eligibility criteria, procedural guidelines and essential examination day instructions.
 
Panjab University has invited applications for admissions to the B.Pharm programme and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses across thirteen departments, namely Botany, Zoology, Anthropology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Physics (Electronics), Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biophysics, Mathematics and Mathematics & Computing. These programmes fall under the university’s Honours School System, which is designed to offer rigorous academic training and smooth progression into postgraduate studies within the university.
 
Applicants have been advised to carefully examine eligibility requirements, subject combinations and the detailed seat matrix, including allocations for open, NRI and foreign-national categories, before finalising their applications. Apart from NRI and foreign national categories, there are 46 seats for B.Pharm, 20 for Botany, 25 for Zoology, 30 for Anthropology, 58 for Chemistry, 30 for Geology, 40 for Physics, 20 for Physics (Specialization in Electronics), 25 for Biochemistry, 30 for Microbiology, 15 for Biotechnology, 25 for Biophysics, 30 for Mathematics, and 15 for Mathematics & Computing.
 
The admissions for the B.Pharm and various Hons. School Bachelor Degree Courses of would be based on CET-UG and the marks in Qualifying Examination (+2). Qualifying Examination (+2) and PU - CET (U.G.) Entrance Test would carry 25% and 75% weightage respectively. The entrance test CET-UG would be conducted on December 28, 2025.  PU has 53.5 percent seats in open Category, 15 percent quota for SC, 7.5 percent for ST, 5 percent each for BC, Defence, Sports and Person with Disability(PwD), 2 percent each for Riot Victim and Freedom Fighter category.
