Online awareness generation on kitchen garden herbs at Home Science College
The outreach program was attended by more than 50 participants
Chandigarh: As a part of the ongoing celebration of Poshan Maah, the MSc students of Department of Foods and Nutrition are conduction outreach awareness programs online for different target groups.
The theme for today's program was use of kitchen garden herbs in our daily lives in sync with the government's initiative ' Poshan ke liye paudha'
Shriya, a student of MSc Foods and Nutrition demonstrated the use of aloe Vera and gave recipe ideas for the same. She also emphasized on the need to develop a kitchen garden and grow immunity boosting herbs.
The outreach program was attended by more than 50 participants. They comprised of one of the vulnerable groups i. e. adolescent girls.
Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal urged everyone to spread the message of healthy eating for better immunity through the online medium.
