Ludhiana, November 5, 2013: Kamal Chopra is nominated as Expert for Scrutiny Committee of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) constituted for evaluation of applications for SKP/Institutes received under NVEQF scheme for the year 2013-14.
Printing fraternity all around the country has acclaimed this opportunity been conferred to Chopra. Tushar Dhote (Mumbai Mudrak Sangh) said efforts done by Kamal for the Printing Industry has brought laurels to the printing community at large and congratulated Chopra on the occasion. Vijay Bhai Shah, Ravendra Joshi, Arvind Badjatiya, Dadu Bansor and others from All India Federation of Master printers also congratulated Chopra on his appointment as an expert by AICTE.
Known for his networking skills, Chopra is a well-known personality in the field of printing. He is associated with many educational institutes of India and abroad for imparting latest education in printing technology. He has contributed more than 145 technical articles and research papers in various printing journals of international repute. A Gold Medalist from Institute of Printing, Allahabad Chopra is General Secretary of NIPA and OPA, besides being the president of the ‘Printers’ Club’. He is also main spirit behind the NIPA Educational Trust and the Indian Society of Communication Technology. Recently ‘Global Leadership Print Award’ was also conferred upon Chopra for his outstanding leadership in promoting the printing industry in India and worldwide, this award was given to him during Print 13 exhibition at Chicago, USA jointly by the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) and The Association for the suppliers of printing publishing and converting technologies (NPES).
Congratulating Chopra, Parveen Aggarwal, President Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) said, “Kamal’s devotion and hardwork towards the Printing community has got him tremendous recognition all over the world”. It is only due to his efforts OPA has become one and only association in India to distributed grant-in-aid to the tune of more than Rs.1 crore from the Govt. of India, Aggarwal added.
