A one-day Safety Training Programme was organized at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala in collaboration with the Directorate of Factories, Punjab, Chandigarh and the Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh. The programme was conducted at the Technical Training Centre of RCF.

Kapurthala, March 16, 2026: A one-day Safety Training Programme was organized at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala in collaboration with the Directorate of Factories, Punjab, Chandigarh and the Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh. The programme was conducted at the Technical Training Centre of RCF.
Around 100 participants, including supervisors, technical staff, and contract workers, took part in the programme.
During the event, Deputy Director of Factories, Kapurthala, Gurjent Singh addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of workers’ health, safety, and welfare at the workplace.
Technical sessions related to safety were conducted by experts. Som Raj (Gold Medalist) delivered a session on First Aid, Sangeetpal Singh spoke on the Factories Act, 1948, Vikas Kumar presented on Electrical Safety, and J. K. Tomar shared insights on Welding Safety. Jaspreet Singh and Joga Ram from the Directorate of Factories Office were also present on the occasion.
During the programme, Safety Officer Ashok Kumar Meghwal organized a quiz on occupational safety topics, and prizes were distributed to participants who gave correct answers.
At the conclusion of the programme, Chief Safety Officer Jagmeet Singh delivered the vote of thanks and urged everyone to adopt safe working practices.
