Oncology OPD services starts in Rohtak for primary consultation and follow-up

Rohtak, August 30, 2025:  With the aim of making people aware of the symptoms related to cancer such as lumps in the body, vomiting blood, difficulty in swallowing, unexplained weight loss and other serious symptoms, BLK-Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi has started Oncology OPD services in Rohtak.

Oncology OPD services were inaugurated today at BLK-Max Patient Assistance Center located at local Medical Mor in the presence of Principal Director of Surgical Oncology Department Dr. Rajesh Kumar Jain and Director and Unit Head of Gastrointestinal Oncosurgery Department Dr. Manish Jain.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Jain said that with the launch of these OPD services, people of Rohtak and nearby areas will not have to go to Delhi for primary consultation or follow-up. He said that timely detection of cancer is the key to successful treatment, so that patients can recover with better results. He said this OPD will benefit many patients by ensuring timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment guidance. He said that screening is necessary for timely detection of cancer. He also suggested women get mammography done annually.

Giving detailed information, Dr. Manish Jain said that gastrointestinal cancer affects the GI tract and digestive system, which includes esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, gall-bladder and pancreas etc. He said that these cancers can originate from any organ in the abdomen as ulcers or lumps and can spread rapidly to other parts of the body if went unnoticed.

With advanced surgical technologies like da Vinci Robotic-Assisted surgeries, we can perform these procedures more efficiently with minimal post-operative care and faster recovery. The new surgical oncology OPD will offer comprehensive consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up care, backed by the latest technologies in cancer treatment, he added.
