On this occasion, they organized poetry, speech, debate, writing competitions. Children presented poems on various topics. The students of the college told them through chart and PPT that Hindi was accepted as the official language of India written in Devanagari script by the Constituent Assembly on 14th September. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to stop the increasing promotion of English language in the country and the neglect of Hindi language. It is very important for every Indian to have complete knowledge of Hindi language in addition to his mother tongue.

Principal Jyoti Gupta said that Hindi has the honor of being the official language of India, so we should respect this language. We should use it in everyday tasks, we should not feel ashamed while speaking it. Just as Punjabi is our mother tongue, Hindi is the language of our country, so we should respect it.
