This Sunday, get ready to celebrate the life of the legendary Kishore Kumar as Sony Entertainment Television’s popular singing reality show, ‘Indian Idol 14’,brings viewers a special episode titled ‘Hum, Aap Aur Kishore’, in the presence of his son, Amit Kumar. Furthermore, Judge Kumar Sanu, will also illustrate the importance of Kishore Da in his life, and speak about how he has been a motivational factor when it comes to his career in the music industry. Not only this, but as a humble tribute to Kishore Kumar, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most dynamic singers in the history of Indian music, the contestants will sing memorable songs of renowned music composers who have worked with Kishore Da.

 

But it will be contestant Menuka Poudel, who will own the stage with her impactful performance of the songs, ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi’ from the 1975 classic ‘Aandhi’,followed by ‘Zindagi Ke Safar Mein’ from the classic 1974 movie, ‘Aap Ki Kasam.’ That’s not all! On the request of Amit Kumar, Menuka will be seen playing the harmonium and singing the song, ‘Mere Naina Sawan Bhadon’, from the 1976 romantic drama ‘Mehbooba’,  with Shreya Ghoshal that won them tons of appreciation!

 

Engulfed with emotion, Amit Kumar says, “How do you sing so well? You sang the song live, and in one take, which is a rare occurrence. You are blessed by an angel. I am speechless, hats off to you. “

 

Shreya Ghoshal says, “Sometimes, I am really at a loss of words when it comes to you, Menuka. You sing every word and tune of a song with such finesse. I have always been a fan of you and hearing compliments from a respected personality like Amit Kumar ji, makes me feel proud.”
