Hyderabad, April 28, 2017: Amrapali Jewels, the official Jewelry Designers for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion launches Bahubali Jewelry Collection in Hyderabad at its store at Good Earth at Road No.12, Banjara Hills.
The collection comprises of 1000 pieces out of 1500 pieces of Gold Plated, Silver, Kundan, Multi Colour Precious stones, Pearls used in the film. The collection includes Nose Pins, Necklaces, Bangles, Mangtika, Anklets, Bracelets, Ear Rings, Toe Rings, Waist Belts(Vaddanams in case of women), Arm Band and many others.
The entire jewellery is hand crafted. It is a multipurpose jewellery. Take for instance, there is one set of jewelry which can be used as necklace as well as Thagdi(Worn on the waist). Nearly 100 to 150 kgs of jewelry is consumed, informed Vani Subash, Owner of Amrapali.
The jewelry is designed by Jaipur based Amrapali, which has stores across India in 30 locations, including one at Hyderabad. A huge team of designers worked at Amrapali Design Studio at Jaipur and Hyderabad for well over 2years, informed Vani.
After having done a number of pieces for Baahubali 1: The Beginning, Amrapali Jewels was officially brought on board to be the Jewelry Designer for the magnum opus’ second edition informed Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera of Co-founders of Amrapali Jewels. Special pieces were especially commissioned for the film at the Amrapali Design Studio that were created in tandem with the team of designers and craftsmen from Amrapali and the team of Baahubali, they stated.
The second project for Baahubali 2 was initiated when the shooting began for the movie from mid-2015 till the end of 2016.The script was decoded to create stunning jewelry that would elevate the visual journey for the viewer and lend credibility to the characters in the movie. Amrapali managed to achieve this mammoth task in a short span of time and approximately 1500 pieces were sent to the team of Baahubali 2. Silver metal with gold plating was used in order to achieve the preciseness and quality that lends to the grandeur of the film and the setting, added Kavitha.K, Store Manager of Amrapali in Hyderabad.
“Amrapali has been an integral part of Baahubali, where our jewelry was synchronized to fit every character and the larger than life sets. Our designers and artisans have worked simultaneously to achieve the aesthetics that the script demands” said, Rajesh Ajmera, Co-founder, Amrapali Jewels.
“Every character in Baahubali plays a strong role and Amrapali Jewels has magnified the impact even more. In every frame, the jewelry was modified to maintain the essence of every character yet be visually impactful,” said Rajiv Arora, Co-founder, Amrapali Jewels.
Amrapali did work for Bahubali 1 but, not in the capacity of Official Jewelry Designer. This Jaipur based jeweller has been showcasing to the world the exclusivity and magnificence of Indian jewelry.
Amrapali is the only Indian Jewelry designers to present their collection in Fashion Weeks of Milan and New York. Amrapali’s list of honoured customers includes Mr. Shimon Peres Ex-Prime Minister of Israel, Her Majesty Ashi Wongchuk Queen of Bhutan, Maharani Padmini Devi and Princess Diya of the Jaipur Royal Family.
Amrapali also has celebrities like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Rihanna, Shakira, Halle Berry, J.Lo, Beyonce, Frieda Pinto, Lucy Liu, Jennifer Hawkins, Padma Lakshmi, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Twinkle Khanna, Rekha, Konkana Sen Sharma, among others, adorning its jewels.
