NSS Volunteers performed Skit Play on “Good touch & Bad touch” for Ankur School students

Chandigarh April 29, 2022: NSS UIET successfully conducted the Skit Play on the topic “Good touch & Bad touch” today under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. NSS coordinators Ganga Batra & Tryammbak Kansal along with team performed in Ankur school. The play was conducted under the guidance of Programme Officers Dr. Shankar Sehgal, Dr. Naveen Kumar and Dr. Vivek Kumar.

The main aim of the play was to sensitize the young minds about the good touch and bad touch. The target audience were children belonging to the age group of 5-12 years. Due to the lack of constructive discussion about such topics, owing to stigmatized conditioning, it is imperative for growing kids to be well versed with which kind of touches are good/healthy for them and which kind of touches they should be cautious of.

Therefore, the main objectives were: To make them aware about how to act at times when they encounter a ‘bad’ touch; To imbibe into them the thought that suffering sexual abuse is not the fault of the victim but an extremely serious offence by the perpetrator.

It was a great opportunity for NSS Team as we got a chance to take a progressive stand on a sensitive and important issue and also got the chance to educate the young minds.
