NSS Panjab University Observes Buddha Purnima with community welfare Initiative
On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, NSS Panjab University, Chandigarh, carried out community welfare activity under the Environment Education Programme (EEP) sponsored by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST), under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Chandigarh, 14 May 2025: On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, NSS Panjab University, Chandigarh, carried out community welfare activity under the Environment Education Programme (EEP) sponsored by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST), under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
Under the guidance of Dr. Parveen Goyal, NSS Programme Coordinator, and Programme Officers Dr. Sonia Sharma and Dr. Vivek Kapoor, PU NSS volunteers placed earthen water pots in the PU NSS’s adopted village Dhanas to provide relief to birds and animals during the ongoing heatwave. Sweets were also distributed among the villagers as part of the outreach.
