NSS Panjab University celebrates Guru Purnima by planting trees
The National service Scheme (NSS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, today celebrated Guru Purnima by planting saplings on the theme "Ek Paudha Maa ke Naam" at Dhanas ,an adopted village of PU. The programme was organised in association with PUNJAB,- EIACP hub,PSCST.

Chandigarh, July 10, 2025: The National service Scheme (NSS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, today celebrated Guru Purnima by planting saplings on the theme "Ek Paudha Maa ke Naam" at Dhanas ,an adopted village of PU. The programme was organised in association with PUNJAB,- EIACP hub,PSCST.
The celebration witnessed participation from the residents and kids of the Village by planting the saplings to mark their respective for their respective gurus.
The members of Punjab- EIACP hub, PSCST appreciated the efforts of NSS Volunteers and the residents during the heavy rainfall.
Addressing the villagers, the Punjab- EIACP hub, PSCST members highlighted the importance of plantation. They stressed upon the importance of medicinal plants. The presence of kids during the rain added charm and glory to the celebration. Refreshments were also distributed to the residents and children on the occasion.
PU NSS Coordinator Dr. Parveen Goyal, Programme Officer Dr.Sonia Sharma, PSCST members Ms. Ranjeet Kaur and Ms. Alisha were present on the occasion.
