Now HPCA in High Court for justice against governments taking over of its property

Dharamsala, October 31, 2013: Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) on Thursday moved to High Court Shimla against the takeover of international cricket stadium Dharamsala  by the state government recently, as it filed a petition before likely to come for hearing tomorrow or few days later.

According to director of HPCA (registered under the Company’s Act) Surinder Thakur, they moved in the High Court this morning as writ petition was filed by Vikrant Thakur, Counsel for the HPCA.

He said that petition may be listed for tomorrow or of later to admit it in the court. “It is too early to say that which bench would hear the petition but it is likely to be placed before the Division Bench headed by Chief Justice A. M. Khanwilkar”, he said.

As it has been stated earlier that Himachal Pradesh government on Saturday night took over HPCA international cricket stadium at Dharamsala, Pavilion Hotel associated with stadium, HPCA stadium in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, cricket academies at Shimla, Gumma, Mandi and Kullu districts. www.cityairnews.com
