Ludhiana: With an aim to stop spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19), the state government has ordered the closure of all cinema halls, swimming pools, gyms etc from midnight of March 14, 2020, till further orders.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed that there would be a complete ban on organising public gatherings such as sports festivals, conferences, cultural functions, mela’s, exhibitions, etc.
These ban orders have been issued under Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and as per directions of Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Punjab.
