Noida’s first “Green College Campus Initiative” launched at Amity University


Launch of Green College Campus Initiative at Amity.

In order to support Prime Minister’s initiative “Aao Cycle Chalayein” and to promote green environment and a healthy life style amongst Amitians, Amity Business School collaborated with Mobycy to launch “Green College Campus initiative” at Amity University, Sector 125 Noida

The collaboration aimed to promote use of bicycles provided by Mobycy for the use by students, staff and faculty members to travel within the campus.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Aakash Gupta, Founder – Mobycy apprised that Mobycy is India's 1st bicycle sharing platform which allows users to scan QR code and unlock a bicycle that can be parked in a dockless way at public places. He mentioned that it is a revolutionary app with the vision to have greener and fitter nation. He opined that a change will be brought with each peddle as the Nation will move towards greener and sustainable development as it is an affordable, pollution free initiative which will help in reducing traffic. Mr. Aakash also informed that as an introductory offer, first ride will be free for every Amitian and monthly charges are also very nominal and easily affordable.

Mr. Gupta called upon the students of Amity to be the campus ambassadors for Mobycy and promote the use of bicycle amongst fellow Amitians.

Applauding the initiative by Mobycy, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal- Director- Amity Business School said that this initiative is going to bring a sea change in India since it aims at promoting healthy lifestyle amongst the people of the country and may reduce lifestyle related disorders, with which a person of every age is grappling with. Dr.Bansal advised the students and faculty members to shun the use of motor vehicles within the campus and prefer cycle to cover atleast short distances. He also averred to support Mobycy in launching the initiative across entire Noida City.

Dr. (Prof.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh congratulated Mobycy for the initiative and said that riding bicycle regularly is one of the best ways to reduce risk of health problems arising with a sedentary lifestyle.

Ms. Rajshri, co-founder, Mobycy and Ms. Savita Mehta, Vice President- Communications along with thousands of students, faculty members and staff of Amity were present during the occasion.
