No Schools, Hospitals in 12.5 years; but BJP Built Five-Star Offices: MP Deepender Hooda

Kalanaur/Rohtak, September 13, 2026: Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Saturday accused the BJP government of failing to create major public institutions in Haryana during its 12.5-year rule, while “five-star BJP offices” came up across the state.
Addressing a Block Congress workers’ conference in Kalanaur, Hooda alleged that several major projects sanctioned during the previous Congress government were shifted out of Haryana. He cited the rail coach factory, international airport and institutions proposed at the AIIMS campus, besides alleging that the Rohtak Metro project had not moved an inch in 12.5 years.
“Development took place only in BJP’s bank accounts and cash,” Hooda said, alleging that while the country’s economic situation deteriorated, the BJP’s financial position strengthened. He claimed the party had around Rs. 15000 crore in declared funds.
Hooda said Haryana had slipped to 15th position nationally in development, while unemployment, drug abuse and migration of youth abroad remained major concerns. He also attacked the government over law and order, alleging rising crime, corruption and administrative disorder.
Targeting Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Hooda demanded fulfilment of promises including Rs 3100 MSP for farmers, Rs 6000 monthly pension for senior citizens, regularisation of HKRN employees, Rs 3100 assistance for women and 100-square-yard plots for poor families.
He also sought an immediate solution to drinking water, irrigation and water logging problems in Rohtak.
Earlier, Deepender Hooda attended the death anniversary programme of Sant Sutte Prakash at Baba Ramnath Ashram in Sampla.
