Rohtak, February 25, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta categorically said that there will be no compromise whatsoever on the fairness, transparency and peaceful conduct of the Haryana Board examinations. He said that all directions issued by the government will be implemented in letter and spirit to ensure completely malpractice-free examinations across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner was speaking after a state-level video conference chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, during which detailed instructions were issued to all Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police regarding strict enforcement of examination protocols. The Chief Minister made it clear that any lapse in examination arrangements or enforcement will not be tolerated, and directed officers to conduct regular field inspections of examination centres.
Briefing on district preparedness, the Deputy Commissioner informed that extensive administrative and security arrangements have already been put in place. Multiple coordination meetings have been held, and clear instructions have been issued to all concerned departments to ensure smooth conduct of examinations.
To maintain strict vigilance:
• Duty Magistrates and police personnel have been deployed at all examination centres
• Flying squads comprising administrative and police officers have been constituted to conduct surprise checks
• Although no examination centre in the district has been categorised as sensitive, special monitoring plans have been prepared for select centres as a precautionary measure
The Deputy Commissioner stated that prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita have been enforced at all examination centres. Under these orders:
• Assembly of five or more persons is prohibited within a 100-metre radius of examination centres
• Carrying of weapons is strictly banned
• Photocopy shops, printing presses, duplicating units and cyber cafés within the restricted area will remain closed during examination hours
Only authorised persons will be allowed entry into examination centres, and all officials on duty have been issued valid identity cards.
At the village level, meetings have been held with Sarpanches, who have been clearly informed that any crowding or use of unfair means at examination centres located within their jurisdiction will make them accountable. The Deputy Commissioner warned that strict legal action will be initiated against those involved in facilitating or encouraging malpractice.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that the district administration, police department and education department are working in close coordination to ensure that examinations are conducted in a disciplined, transparent and peaceful environment. He reiterated that any individual found indulging in or abetting unfair means will face stringent action as per law, including registration of FIRs where required.
