Nine PCTE students of journalism and mass communication bag top ten university positions

Ludhiana:  The students of PCTE Group of Institutes pursuing Journalism and Mass Communication course performed tremendously well and Nine students bagged top Ten positions in University Examination.

Sanskriti Verma of batch 2018 bagged 1st Position with 9.05 SGPA, Ishita Sharma and Laveena Sharma bagged the 2nd Position with 8.1 SGPA, Karan Sharma bagged 5th Position with 7.71 SGPA. Khushboo Sharma bagged 6th Position with 7.67 SGPA, Pooja Goswami bagged 7th Position with 7.62 SGPA, Saksham Juneja bagged 8th Position with 7.48 SGPA, Nikhil Nagpal bagged 9th Position with 7.33 SGPA and Chestta Gumber bagged 10th position with 7.29 SGPA.

Sanskriti Verma who bagged the first position said “I am elated on securing 1st place in my university exams. I want to share the credit of my success with my parents and mentors. Guidance of mentors and my consistent efforts have helped me to achieve my success. I believe in keeping my eyes on stars and feet on the ground.”

While Laveena who bagged the 2nd, position said “I am feeling very grateful to my teachers and parents as they had put a lot of effort in me and that is why I am here today.  Being a university topper is a special feeling as hard work and dedication is the key to success and everyone must follow it.

Ishita Sharma said “I cannot express my feelings but I am really thankful of my teachers and parents who guided me through my hard time and told me how to improve on things that I lacked behind in.”  She further said “One should not stop learning even if that person is the topper.” Karan from BAJMC 2018 expresses that “it is a great feeling being in university toppers. For this I would like to give credit to my parents for constantly motivating me and to my teachers who always supported me.”

Prabhleen Kaur, Coordinator, Faculty of Journalism & Mass Communication said “It is a proud moment for the department as we have bagged a number of positions. Students are hardworking and their dedication will surely help us to achieve more in the further exams.”

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the students and said that “The students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
