Niagra Metals India Ltd creates foot over bridge for safety in 72 hours

Ludhiana, February 19, 2014: Niagra Metals India Ltd created the footover bridge for safety and convenience of doctors and participants of APICON 2014. According to Vikram Soni, MD, “The  foot over bridge’s installation  was  completed in 72 hours and our promise to hand over the bridge within the stipulated time frame has been fulfilled.
The bridge has been designed with the aerobridge concept and a team of 20 highly skilled engineers worked round the clock to finish it before time”.
 APICON 2014 PALACE CONFERENCE FOOT OVER BRIDGE
• An endeavour of the  Organising Committee, the APICON 2014 Palace Conference complex foot over bridge has been especially created to enable safe ,direct and convenient over head access to the delegates to cross the very busy National Highway no. 95.
• Conceived and engineered to perfection in steel by Niagara Metals India Limited.
• A first of its kind bridge characterized with finely detailed tunnel type structure, adequate ventilation, lighting & fine interior detailing with wooden flooring.
• Easier climbing with a span of 46 Ft. Comprising 40 steps on each side.
• 30 tonnes steel used.
• Span of 20 Mts. and standing tall at a clear height of 6Mts.
• Designed exclusively for APICON 2014 and tailor made to the exacting conditions of the site.
• Durable and stable structure guaranteeing the safety of users, to withstand vagaries of weather, wind loads and  seismic condition.
• Design comparable to Indian & global standards, use of high quality material,  factory built precision fabrication and quick installation.
• Installation completed within 72 hours with 20 highly skilled men.
• Actual time for installing the cross over bridge section was accomplished in 30 minutes with no stoppage of the voluminous traffic movement on the National Highway.  
• Production of structural members as bolt-able knock down parts completed in 72 hours at the plant in Ludhiana.
• The bridge will be dismantled completely on conclusion of the APICON 2014.
