NIA Panchkula Organizes Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, a Blood Donation Camp was organized at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula on 14th June 2025 (Saturday), in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, New Chandigarh, under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Sharma.

NIA Panchkula Organizes Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day

Panchkula, June 14, 2025: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, a Blood Donation Camp was organized at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula on Saturday, in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, New Chandigarh, under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Sharma.

The camp was held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the institute premises. The event was graced by Amandeep Singh, Commissioner of Income Tax, as the Chief Guest, along with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, Dean In-Charge Prof. Satish Gandharva, DMS Coordinator Dr. Gaurav Garg, Prof. Prahlad Raghu, and other officers and staff members.

The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraged citizens to come forward for this noble cause. Prof. Sanjeev Sharma highlighted the life-saving value of donated blood, especially for patients undergoing cancer treatment, surgeries, or facing emergencies, and urged people to donate regularly.

The blood collection process was carried out by Dr. Harmanjeet Singh and his team from Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital. Refreshments and donation certificates for donors were arranged by Mohit Vishwas and his team from Vishwas Foundation. Around 46 units of blood were donated during the camp, which was coordinated by Dr. Ankita Negi.

The organizing institutions encourage all citizens, students, teachers, and social workers to actively participate in such noble efforts. As the campaign reminds us – “Every Drop Counts. Be a Lifesaver!”
