NHAI starts repairing service lanes in Jagraon

Jagraon (Ludhiana), August 3, 2022: National Highway Authority of India has started repairing the service lanes along with National highways in the Jagraon sub-division of the district. 

Providing further details, SDM Vikas Hira said that the administration was continually taking up the issue with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for the last year to repair the service lanes and make the road motorable. He said that commuters were harried a lot due to potholed service lanes and used to get flooded with water during rains. He also pointed out that NHAI had also blacklisted the concessionaire of this particular highway which failed to maintain service lanes. 

Hira said that NHAI officials had promised to start repair works in the meeting taken by Forest and Wildlife Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak on July 26 when MLA Jagraon Sarvjit Kaur Manuke had also raised the issue. 

SDM said that administration was also keeping watch on the ongoing repair works which would be completed by NHAI within this week.
