‘New Life after School” 15-Days Certificate Course held in Doaba College

Department of Education, Doaba College Jalandhar organized 15 Day value added - Skill Development Course entitled ‘New Life after School” for 10+2  students of various schools.

Jalandhar, July 6, 2022: Department of Education, Doaba College Jalandhar organized 15 Day value added - Skill Development Course entitled ‘New Life after School” for 10+2  students of various schools. The purpose of this course was to prepare the students for the challenges they are going to face while pursuing higher education. For this purpose a feel was given to students about the various aspects of college life. 

Principal Dr Pardeep Bhandari said that the content of the Skill Development Course included Art and Craft Skills like Flower Making and Bottle Decoration, Psychology based experiments such as Mirror Drawing Test, Human Maze Learning, and Memory Testing through Memory Drum, and Preparation of Teaching Leaning Material (TLMs) such as Models and Charts. In addition to these, talks were organized on Positive Attitude, Personality Development, Career Oriented Competitive Exams and Environment Awareness by expert faculty members. Special interactive sessions were organized to bring out the hidden talent of the students. An educational movie “Chalk and Duster” was also shown to the students and analyzed by the expert teacher from teaching-learning point of view.

On the completion of the Skill Development Course, certificates were given to all the participants in a specially arranged Valedictory Function. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari and Dr. Avinash Chander -Head applauded the efforts of Prof. Manjeet Kaur, Coordinator of the Skill Development Course and faculty members and wished them all the best for the future endeavors.
