Jalandhar, August 3, 2019: DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar started its new academic session of B.Tech courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering Computer Science & Engineering Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering M.Tech, MBA, MCA, BBA, B.Com (Hons.), BCA and BHMCT on August 3rd, 2019.
Satish Sharma, Director (colleges), DAVCMC, New Delhi was honoured as chief guest on the occasion.
Surinder Seth, an eminent speaker and Arya Samajist was adhered as guest of honour. Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAVCMC, Kundan Lal Aggarwal, Member, DAVCMC, S.K. Arora, Principal, DAV College, Jalandhar, Ajay Goswami, Member, DAVCMC, Sanjay Gupta, Member, DAVCMC, A.K. Sharma (Retd. Justice) also graced the occasion by their benign presence.
In the fortitude of DAV’s Arya Samaji fervor, Hawan Ceremony was held in the elaborately titivated Lala Chanchal Das DAV Auditorium, to seek the blessings of Almighty. The Vedic hymn during the Hawan Ceremony created a devout vibes.
The new entrants gave their feedback on 3 week ‘student induction programme’ organized for them in the campus. They appreciated the quality and value of this orientation programme in boosting their confidence. Some students shared their views and thoughts on this induction programme. Kawaljeet Kaur, a student of B.Tech- ECE1, stated that this induction programme encouraged her to feel comfortable and understand the things differently. She stated that the overall information provided to them during this programme was quiet fruitful and of great insight. She also mentioned that the motivational lectures by Professors on various topics like self exploration, memory skills, so forth were very inspirational. Mamta, a student of IT-1, shared that this induction programme provided the new students a good platform to achieve greater heights in sports, cultural, fine arts and literary events. Ameek Sidhu, a student of EE-1, stated that a session conducted on ‘Creative art and Cultural session’ inculcated the sense of aesthetics and creativity. The students appreciated the DAVIET for organizing the visit of some local places like Jange-e- Azadi memorial, Pingla ghar and some temples.
Dr.Manoj Kumar, Principal of DAVIET extended a rapturous welcome to the chief guest, new students, their esteemed parents, distinguished guests and dignitaries present on the occasion. He showered his blessings upon the youth and motivated them to work with dedication in order to keep pace with the upcoming technologies. In his speech, he stated that we all should follow the values of our Indian society and solve the problems of the society. He focused on plantation of trees to save environment.
Surinder Seth, interacted with students and motivated them to sail far and soar high. He appreciated the endeavour of principal, faculty and staff of DAVIET for the overall development of students and growth of the Institute. As a renowned orator, he touched various facets of the minds of budding technocrats. He threw light on the importance of ‘sewa’, ‘maitri’, ‘aastha’, ‘fellowship’ and ‘attitude’.
Dr.Satish Sharma, Director (colleges), DAVCMC, Chief Guest, showered his blessings upon the new entrants and wished for their bright future. He discussed the experiences of his life with the students. In his speech, he motivated the new entrants to work hard to touch the peak of success in life.
Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAVCMC welcomed the new comers in the campus. In his speech, he motivated them to do work hard.
The ceremony was concluded with National Anthem.
