Nehru Sidhant Kendra Trust is hosting its annual cultural event Ek Sham Sahir Ke Naam- with “Ek Mulaqaat” based on the famous poet and lyricist “Sahir Ludhianvi” whose poetry has left behind a timeless legacy on March 7 at 7 PM.

Ludhiana March 5, 2026: Nehru Sidhant Kendra Trust is hosting its annual cultural event Ek Sham Sahir Ke Naam- with “Ek Mulaqaat” based on the famous poet and lyricist “Sahir Ludhianvi” whose poetry has left behind a timeless legacy on March 7 at 7 PM. 
Giving this information at a press conference here on Thursday, Bipin Gupta, General Secretary, Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, Sunil Gupta, Chairman, Organising Committee, Radhika Jaitwani, Member, Organising Committee added the highlight of the evening will be the theatrical tribute to the legendary poet in the form of the powerful presentation of the stage Production “Ek Mulaqaat”, performed by the renowned cinema artists, Shekhar Suman & Geetika Tyagi. The absorbing act is scripted-directed by the eminent cine personalities, Sumanna Ahmad & Saif Haider Hasan. Sahir’s fearless but progressive thoughts on poetry, love, society & humanity are beautifully revisited by the stage presentation. Certainly, the resonance of Sahir, the poet lyrist as well as an excellent human being will remain everlasting with the audience.
Under the leadership of Rakesh Bharti Mittal - Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust regularly organizes annual cultural events in order to promote the great legacy and cultural harmony of India. In the past events like – “Ek Shaam Sahir Ke Naam”, and "Jashn-e-Sahir" have been held. In addition, the Trust has brought several shows of the renowned Delhi-based Ibaadat Foundation including “Rooh-e-Majrooh”, “Kaviraaj Shailendra” and “Sahir Kahaan Ho Tum” to Ludhiana.
