Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust sets up ‘Horizon School of Excellence’ 

Ludhiana, March 6, 2022: With a vision to provide free quality education to underprivileged children, Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, founded in 1983 by Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal, today announced the setting up of ‘Horizon School of Excellence’ in Ludhiana. The latest initiative of the Trust in partnership with Shri Gow Rakshni Sabha will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and impart learning in English medium up to 10+2 classes. 

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the School, Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, President, Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, said, “Access to quality education for all is key to inclusive socio-economic growth. The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust is committed to make sustainable interventions in this direction and contribute to the Government’s progressive efforts. The ‘Horizon School of Excellence’ for the underprivileged children will have special focus on the girl child and will offers these children an opportunity to be part of India’s growth story.”

‘Horizon School of Excellence’ is designed for holistic learning and all-round development of children. The school will commence its operations from academic session 2023. Admissions will be opened from November 2022 starting with primary classes in phase one and scaling up to elementary and secondary in a phased manner. 

Over the years Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust has been actively involved in uplifting the disadvantaged  sections of the society with special focus on education. Every year, the Trust gives away scholarships, awards to deserving students. Till date, the Trust has provided scholarships to over 20,950 underprivileged students under various scholarship schemes. Additionally, the Trust has also set up the Sat Paul Mittal School – a leading educational institution in Northern India providing quality education.
