NDMC V-C celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Navyug School kids

Interacting with students during the celebration of Raksha Bandhan, Chahal said, “Events like these are an important way of connecting students with Indian culture, values and mutual respect.”
During the programme at Navyug School, Laxmibai Nagar, the NDMC organised a Rakhi-making competition. Students enthusiastically made beautiful and colourful Rakhis themselves and tied them on Chahal’s wrist.
The NDMC’s vice chairman appreciated the creativity and enthusiasm of the students and also lauded the Principal, teachers and staff for organising the programme.
On the occasion, Chahal said that Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, but also conveys the values of love, respect, trust and responsibility.
He said that providing equal opportunities for girls and women to move forward is essential for building a strong and developed India.
He also encouraged the students to work hard in their studies and pursue their dreams with confidence.
The school principal, Archana, expressed her gratitude to Chahal for visiting the school and celebrating Raksha Bandhan with the students.
On the occasion, Chahal also distributed gifts to the girl students, bringing great joy and excitement.
Following the programme, Chahal also inspected the school in the presence of senior officials from the Civil, Health and Electrical departments of NDMC. He reviewed the cleanliness, maintenance, school building and other essential facilities.
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’, Chahal directed officials to improve the school's facilities further, complete necessary repair and maintenance work on time, and make the infrastructure more modern and student-friendly.
He said, “The strong foundation of a developed India is built through quality education and better schools.”
He emphasised that NDMC is committed to providing students with a clean, safe, modern, and conducive learning environment so they can play an important role in the nation's future development.
