NCC Cadets who cleared for National Defence Academy were felicitated at Battalion Hq

A felicitation ceremony was organised at 2 Punjab NCC Battalion HQ for the final selection of NCC cadets of Army Public School in National Defence Academy, Pune. The NCC cadets first cleared the UPSC written exam. After that they cleared the five day SSB exam. Then they cleared the detailed medical exam and now they are ready for three years of intensive training at National Defence Academy Pune.

NCC Cadets who cleared for National Defence Academy were felicitated at Battalion Hq

Jalandhar, September 13, 2025: A felicitation ceremony was organised at 2 Punjab NCC Battalion HQ for the final selection of NCC cadets of Army Public School in National Defence Academy, Pune. The NCC cadets first cleared the UPSC written exam. After that they cleared the five day SSB exam. Then they cleared the detailed medical exam and now they are ready for three years of intensive training at National Defence Academy Pune.
 
Colonel Vinod Joshi said that NDA is the largest officer academy of the country which prepares future officers of Army, Air Force and Navy. Yash Karanwal s/o Col Amit Karanwal got selected from 24 Service Selection Board, Bangalore. Cadet Akash Kushwaha got selected for NDA from 32 Service Selection Board, Jalandhar. Akash's father is employed in the army. Cadet Kumar Gaurav got selected from 19 Service Selection Board Prayagraj for Technical 10+2 Entry. Cadet Kumar Gaurav's father is a Junior Commissioned Officer who is currently posted in Jalandhar. Cadet Prince Kumar Dubey was selected by 19 Service Selection Board Prayagraj for Technical 10+2 and 34 Service Selection Boards for National Defence Academy. Prince's father has recently retired from the post of Subedar.
 
All of them are NCC cadets from Army Public Schools. Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, has given them three months of intensive online training for SSB. The Commanding Officer said that SSB is a five-day process. On the first day, there is a screening test in which 70-80% of the candidates are eliminated. On the second day, there are four psychology tests. On the third and fourth day, there are nine ground tests. On the fifth day, after the conference, the result is announced.
 
Brigadier AK Bhardwaj, NCC Group Commander Jalandhar congratulated all the selected cadets and emphasized on completing the intensive training at NDA. Colonel Vinod said that it is a matter of great pride and joy for our battalion and the families of the cadets that after clearing various exams, they are going for training in the country's biggest officer academy NDA. They will lead the Indian forces in the coming years.
